The veneers in this piece are sliced from one piece of wood and put together consecutively. This design technique is an excellent way to show off highly figured wood. A pattern in the wood will be repeated with slight variations in each strip, and the accent wood breaks up the progression.
Each design is modern and unique, yet their roots go back to the early part of this century, where emphasis was placed on quality materials. Gone is the hi-tech, austere look of so much recent lighting. Each design integrates the warmth and majesty of wood as part of the light.
